 "We attract what we are" That is potentially the most frightening thing we will ever come to terms with. It really puts the onus "on us" to Be the change we want to see. No sitting around waiting for our hopes to come to us. I feel the crescendo of truth in this moment... I'm gonna need a minute...or 20!! Whew!

I am still reeling from all of the thoughts about this and I hope I can find a way to express them in words, art, relating as possible...  This is really BIG!!!  Imagine!!!  Often we listen to the World through our own filters of comfort...editing out anything that might make us Squirm!    Oh My God!!  If we stop to really consider the implications of "We attract what we are"... where does that leave us?  That LEAVES us with no excuses!  How many of us can really sit in THAT space without squirming?? 
Let the Squirming begin!!!!  THEN "allow"...  and follow your heart to what you want.  Key word is "Follow" which requires movement on your part.  MOVEment!!  (on MY part!)  The heart always knows what it wants and what is best for you...its the Head that gets in the way with all of its "logic" ( no caps here.. none deserved.. more like eye rolling to "oh yeah, Head with all its "logic" in air quotes, of course.)  Even baby steps are movement...excuse me, MOVEMENT!!  What is paralyzing  is the head.  It is true in the body as well as spirit.  So let's look into the HEART and "ALLOW" then Follow...

Today is "Giving Tuesday"!!  I was not aware of such a beautiful day until today!  So to honor the efforts, I will give 10% of the sale of any of my paintings today to a local charity.  Perhaps we will sponsor a child or several (ambitious!!) in the Giving Tree project.  Such a worthy cause and provides hope and joy to youngsters who have so much to overcome.

Another Painting inspired by a very talented photographer who happens to be my daughter.  She fills the senses with her unique perspective in images of perspective and light.  I hope to capture yet another dimension of the same essence...leaving you to enjoy your own experience of the play of light and texture and color.  You can imagine a whole scene taking place on the other side of the Doors to Marfa or simply imagine "Being" the door!  Dare to imagine and let it become your story! Life gets busy.  Filled.  Don't let it smother you.  Allow grace to lift you above the fray.  Re-member your life well.  Move forward.  Be grateful.  Be blessed.

Today is my birthday.  I.am.50.  I read a sign that said "The days are long; The years are short" and believed it!  Many difficult events occurred in the past decade that would test most anyone.  Part of what has inspired my heART was working through the tough stuff. 

Grace continues to be the reigning energy of goodness.  I continue to find reasons to be grateful.

5) Scoring 1150 on the GRE after my brain laying fallow for 9 yrs.
4) Neo Cantina Hostess Job...because of the incredible people I met
3) Meeting a Shaman who has taught me so much! and all the studies I have been privileged to do...NLP CHT and more
2) My sister~friend moving closer...We have been best friends for 30 yrs but lived in same town for only 2 of those years. 
1) My ♥ discovered under a pile of rubble...strong and joyful!

I would like to thank Dr. Judy Neubrander and Dr. Mason McDowell for graciously choosing to hang my art in the new WCU School of Nursing and Nurse Anesthesia Offices! I am the only artist represented in the space right now with 13 of my paintings! Congratulations to them, too, on the new space in Biltmore Park. It is Beautiful and so Advanced! It is an honor to be a small part of the environment! They are all available for purchase if one speaks to you and is asking to live in your home.  With an humble heart, I thank all who shared their appreciation for them with me.

Disclaimer:  This may be a bit long and stream of consciousness but its how I roll :)

"Circle of Hope"

     Today while waiting in the lobby of the orthodontist for my daughter, I picked up a mag "More" (guilty pleasure) and turned to last page,(because that is how I read all magazines back to front; they always put the best stuff in the back) and read the editors note.  It was on disorganization and how she struggled for years believing it was a flaw.  Me too!  And like me, she has come to realize that it just how we are!  There are great perks in "piles"!  When you need to locate a bill or a school note you plop on the floor and begin the search and discover that you "re-member "lost bits of your life.  A letter you forgot to send, a list of ideas, a note from a dear friend, a photo you took out to show the kids...  a treasure! Oh and the bill may or may not be there but the time has been well spent in my World!  I am now inspired and motivated to finish something, send the letter(with a new note attached about why it is six months old), purge, and summarily forced to sit still for a period of time when I am not likely to sit on my own accord.  (I have a Jeep, not a Honda, hyuck hyuck) 




     So while I completely admire my linear, compartmentalized friends...I will take my mash up life any day which can in an instant take what they would call a mistake and turn it into a new creation, full of intent!  It is how I do art...I take a feeling or an experience and turn it into an "expression" with color!  Things get done around me..as if by magic!  Like when juice is spilled on the floor...the floor gets cleaned!  I have come to depend on what you call mishaps to pull me back into the necessary and since everything seeks balance, mishaps (or are they) occur just enough to keep me grounded.  I call it "Functionally Disorganized" and it is a gorgeous way to live!  If you put everything in a drawer in my life...my creativity might just get tucked away, too.  So, "no thanks" to offers of organizing help... I am happy in my crazy, colorful life!
